The Network model

Output Graphs:

• Average time spent by a router in doing the Dijikstra's calculation
• Ratio of Control traffic serviced to the total traffic serviced at the IP module

42 Router Network

Simulation Attributes:

Unicast best effort traffic is 30 packets per sec.
Multicast best effort traffic is 30 packets per sec. The session duration is a random time between 5 and 10 secs. The session inter arrival time is a uniform distribution from 0 to 15 secs.
Reserved Multicast traffic is 60 packets per sec. The session duration is a random time between 5 and 10 secs. The session inter arrival time is a uniform distribution from 0 to 15 secs.
All the data generators start sending the data after 20 secs.
OSPF, MOSPF and QOSPF Lsa packets refresh period is set to 20 secs.
Explicit Routing not used.

• Cumulative Number of LSA Update packets received by QOSPF module of ABR2.
• Mean Queue size at the IP module of ABR2.
• Cumulative Number of data Packets sent by the Multicast best effort application of host H0 of FDDI ring 23.
• Queue depth at q2 of FDDI gateway of ring 23.
• Average time taken for Dijkstra's Calculation.
