Understanding the Models
The normal OPNET (Ver 3.0) interface is like this:
Tool button panel shows a column of buttons that are used to activate the program's tools, including network, node or process editor and result viewer. When you innvoke each button, a corresponding action button panel will be displayed under the tool button panel. It normally contains a series actions used to perform operations with in the active tool window. The number and functions of the buttons depend on the tool you select. The system button panel shows at the right-bottom conner that includes the buttons for file printing, window switching and OPNET documents.
The header display area shows the program name and current tool being used. Message display shows the status and errors that require attention. Mode displays show model information for the tool in user or the program as a while. Guidance display shows brief explanation or expected input of the action which the mouse currently points to. Mouse switch displays indicates the operation associated with each mouse button when the mouse points to the tool buttons.
