Network Science Certificate
This program provides education in Network Engineering to expand the horizons of
This certificate has been developed as a means for practicing technical professionals
to develop new skills in network engineering. The program is part of GMU's response to
the information technology worker shortage in Virginia. It combines an
academic preparation that teaches principles of lasting applicability with
hands-on training in today's networking technologies. Completion requires the
participant to demonstrate the ability to do real network engineering, using both
the academic and hands-on preparation.
The Network Science Certificate
requires successful completion of the eight blocks
in telecommunications, network protocols, network security, and network management. Each
block consists of four online sessions.
